I just returned from Düsseldorf and I’ve made a review about the hotel I stayed in: the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel! Please watch my video above (in full HD – subtitles available), or read more below.

Location

The Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Düsseldorf a 4-star hotel located just in front of the U-bahn stop “Golzheim”, just 5 minutes from the city center. You can buy a ticket at a newspaper shop, online or on the Rheinbahn app.

Reception and common area

I was welcomed by the friendly staff at the reception. There’s also a bar, a restaurant and enough place to lounge or to have a casual meeting if you’re a business person. There are 10 floors, protected by your room key. The conference rooms are located at the 10th floor and the spa is in the basement (see further).

The room

I stayed at a standard room with twin beds and loads of space (like for luggage), a desk… And of course I can’t forget to mention the view! I had the front view, which overlooks the parking lot, the street and the trees covering the view of the river Rhein. I’m guessing in the winter, you could see the river through the trees.

There were enough power plugs to charge my electronic devices. There was also a smooth leather seat and complimentary medium sparkling water, which came in handy. There are coffee, tea and even chocolate milk making facilities and a mini-bar with nuts, soft drinks and wine. There’s a safe and ironing board too.

The bathroom was spacious with amenities from ThisWorks and a rain shower. The mirror is heated by the way, so you won’t get any moist after showering. Nice detail!

The spa

I went swimming in the basement. There’s fitness equipment, a refreshing pool that’s not too deep and a lounge area with even a possibility to relax outside. The two locker rooms had 16 lockers and two showers. There was also a sauna which had a temperature of 85°C when I went in it.

Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant was great! There was a big variety of food and the chef really paid attention to the presentation of it. He was also available to cook an egg for me.. There were different kinds of bread, cold cuts, marmalades, juices and more. There was warm food (like pancakes, bacon and sausages), but they also paid attention to people on a diet.

So this was my review of my stay at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Düsseldorf. Don’t forget to watch my video “Düsseldorf in 3 minutes” for more.

Thanks for reading and watching!
